“What’s in the Multiverse” is a dramatic comedy on its way to PS4
Editor New games and developers Studio Voyager and IguanaBee announced What is in the multiverse, a “dramatic” comedy taking place in a universe of shifting dimensions.
The story-driven 2D adventure tells the story of a boy known as The Kid, who somehow finds himself in a new universe and meets a scientist named Everett, who can change dimension. Inquisitive minds team up to investigate the “dimension-shifting shenanigans” and, along the way, uncover the truth about Everett’s past.
What is in the multiverse will be released sometime in 2022 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will be playable on current generation consoles via backward compatibility. A demo is currently available on To smoke.
The main features include:
- Transparent transformations – Would you like to change the gaming world on the fly? Now you can! Can’t reach a ledge? Bam! Change world in the air. Afraid of slipping in an icy environment? Alternate to another universe for firmer ground! Just be careful when playing with gravity …
- Diverse worlds – Embark on a journey through a variety of beautiful pixel-art worlds, each offering something unique. Explore temples, cities, ports, wilderness and more as you run to unlock the secrets of the multiverse.
- Colorful cast of characters – Meet a group of quirky yet fascinating characters such as Everett, your possible genius companion. Imagine a sarcastic and eccentric Albert Einstein. Then there’s EZ, a mysterious figure everyone fondly remembers but can’t describe. And of course, ZENITH, a group of enigmatic, dark figures who are still breathing down your neck.
- A deeper story – While remaining true to its light-hearted nature, the poignant character of the story develops as you progress. A roller coaster of laughter, joy and sadness awaits you.
