Mizzou vs. Georgia: Preview, TV Schedule, Watch Online, Odds
The Georgia Bulldogs rise high. The Dawgs transported rival Florida over the weekend to Jacksonville to remain undefeated this season. They enter November as the top-ranked team in the country and will likely be No.1 in the CFB’s top-ranked playoff standings. This weekend, they welcome the humble Missouri Tigers. Mizzou is 4-4 this year and claimed his first conference victory this weekend against the Commodores Vanderbilt.

It’s a shift of epic proportions. Mizzou gives up the second-most yards per game of any Power 5 team (ironically, behind the Kansas Jayhawks). They also rank near the bottom of the P5 in yards per play allowed, as they sit at 6.7 in that category. If that wasn’t enough, they’re allowing the most rushing yards per game nationwide (283.8).
On the other hand, Georgia’s defense is in the foreground. They rank second in the country in allowed YPGs, tied for first with Wisconsin in allowed YPPs, and second in rushing yards per game allowed. Defense of the Dawgs is elite and you didn’t need me to tell you that. But it reminds us of the difference between these two teams as we arrive in November.
I’m not sure even the most optimistic Mizzou fan expects a win here. The Tigers are stuck in a bad place here. Georgia has been fierce and doesn’t seem to be with many of her peers this year. The Bulldogs are likely to feast on this one and all Mizzou can hope for is that they themselves come in with some ferocity for a while.
