Extension launches the Farming Basics podcast

Are you interested in agriculture, but don’t know all the tips and tricks? Check out our new Farming Basics podcast.

The podcast format is a great option for busy people on the go. Simply subscribe using your favorite podcast app and you’ll get the newest episodes as soon as they’re released.

Personally, I like to listen to podcasts when I’m on the go and especially when I’m driving. If you learn well by listening, this can also be a great way for you to learn about farming.

The Farming Basics podcast seeks to delve deeper into the fundamentals of farming. This podcast can be great if you already work in the field, whether you’re in a tractor or picking vegetables in an overhead tunnel.

The podcast is hosted by Olivia Fuller and Jacob Kelley. They interview experts and experts in the field of specialty crops and bring you their best information. They will have guests like researchers from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Auburn University. They will provide the most up-to-date information and learn from farmers with first-hand experience of using research-based practices in their operations.

The episodes are short at just 15-20 minutes each. The episodes will cover a range of topics – from variety selections to integrated pest management tools and more. Episodes will drop every two weeks throughout the season.
