Absentee voting will be administered at Dimensions Living

STEVENS POINT – Special Voting Deputies appointed by the City of Stevens Point will administer mail-in voting for residents of this facility for the Feb. 15 election at Dimensions Living, located at 5625 Sandpiper Ave at 10 a.m. Feb. 7.

Any qualified voter who cannot or does not want to appear at the polling place on election day may ask to vote by post. A qualified voter is any U.S. citizen 18 years of age or older on election day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where they wish to vote for at least 28 consecutive days prior to the election. The voter must also be registered to receive an absentee ballot.

Only the observers of each of the two recognized political parties whose candidates for the office of governor or president obtained the greatest number of votes in the commune during the last general election may accompany the deputies in each establishment where the vote of the members will take place. absent. Observers may observe the process of distribution of mail-in ballots in common areas of the home, facility or compound. Each party wishing to have an observer present must submit the name of the observer to the Clerk or Election Commissioners Office no later than the close of business on the last business day prior to the visit.

Family members of residents may be present at the time of voting.
